In their quest to recreate the sounds of Led Zeppelin, circa 1975, Last Remains uses vintage, era-correct equipment. One of the tools that Frankie Clarke uses is a rare device called an Echoplex. His is from the year 1971.

Frankie purchased this original Echoplex in the mid-70's at Oxon Hill Music. It was re-furbished in early 2014.

Even when the delay is not engaged, there's a legendary tonal sweetness that an early Echoplex adds to one's sound. Players are scared to bring them out, because they're very delicate vintage devices, but what's the point of putting it on a shelf and staring at it?

“I don't necessarily try to sound exactly like Jimmy Page on every song, but I do try to emulate the feel and tones of live rock music in the era we're committed to re-creating, namely 1968 to 1975. ”

So far everything works as it should. Some photos take a minute to focus on my phone.
